On March 4, Le Quang Huy, a student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Japanese Studies of LHU won the Consolation prize at the 6th Japanese Speech Contest 2023 for universities in the southern region of Vietnam.

The contest was co-organized by Hiroshima University and Komaru Foundation (Japan), Center for Cultural Exchange and Japanese Studies, Faculty of Japanese Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCMC. This is a big event of the year for all Japanese Studies majors at universities in the southern region of Vietnam.

This year's contest themed "Traffic" received more than 100 entries from several universities in the southern region. The judges selected 13 best candidates for the final round. Overcoming many candidates, Le Quang Huy from class 20DN112 excellently entered the final round and won the Consolation prize.
