Workshop on Reviewing Learning Outcomes for the Finance and Banking Program: Enhancing Practical Orientation in Education

In order to improve training quality and meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market in the field of finance and banking, on March 21, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, organized a workshop to collect feedback on developing learning outcomes for the Finance and Banking program at Campus 1 of the University.

The workshop was conducted with the objective of reviewing, revising, and refining the program learning outcomes for the 2026–2030 training period, ensuring that graduates are equipped with sufficient professional knowledge and practical skills to meet the expectations of employers and society.

The event was attended by representatives of the University’s Board of Management, the Academic Affairs Office, faculty leadership and academic staff of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, along with industry experts, visiting lecturers, business representatives, alumni, and current students. The participation of diverse stakeholders created a multidimensional forum for discussion, contributing to enhancing the practicality and applicability of the training program.

During the workshop, program representatives presented the orientation for developing learning outcomes, focusing on core competencies such as disciplinary knowledge, professional skills, technological application capabilities, and adaptability in the context of digital transformation in the finance and banking sector. The discussion session was highly dynamic, with valuable contributions from enterprises, alumni, and students, particularly emphasizing the importance of practical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in professional environments.

These contributions serve as a critical foundation for the Faculty to further refine its curriculum in a direction that strengthens practical orientation and aligns closely with industry needs, thereby improving training quality and enhancing graduates’ competitiveness in the labor market.

The organization of this workshop not only contributes to improving educational quality but also reaffirms Lac Hong University’s development orientation toward an application-oriented, industry-linked, and internationally integrated training model. It also represents an important initiative in attracting prospective students, particularly in the field of Finance and Banking, which offers significant career opportunities in the context of the rapidly evolving digital economy.
