Around the same time, Vu Ngoc Khanh, a Korean Studies student in class 23DH112 at LHU and a representative of the King Sejong Institute in Bien Hoa, won a Consolation Prize in the 2026 King Sejong World Korean Writing Competition, held in Seoul, South Korea.
Notably, all these achievements were recorded in just the first half of October 2026. In just a short period, LHU Korean Studies students won awards in several different competition categories. While speech contests require sharp thinking, strong arguments, and confidence on stage, storytelling and writing measure language proficiency, cultural appreciation, and subtlety in conveying messages. Winning prizes consecutively across different categories demonstrates the comprehensive development of LHU students’ knowledge, skills, and ability to apply the language.

These achievements are a source of pride for the Korean Studies program and reflect LHU's approach to education: focusing on developing foreign language proficiency, integrating professional knowledge with hands-on experience, and providing learners with opportunities to confidently participate in international academic and exchange activities.
The first half of October ended with an impressive series of achievements, but LHU Korean Studies students’ journey toward new heights continues. With a strong foundation of knowledge, confidence, and a spirit of international integration, these young LHU talents are expected to continue making their mark on the international stage, adding to their record of achievements and bringing further pride to the University.
