LHU's 10 training programmes meet AUN-QA standards

LHU on April 20, 2023 received an announcement that four training programs have met AUN-QA standards, namely Japanese Studies, Construction Engineering Technology, Finance - Banking, Automation and Control Engineering Technology. These four programs were assessed according to the AUN-QA quality assurance standards in early March. With this result, LHU officially has 10 training programs meeting AUN-QA standards. 

LHU becomes one of the first private universities in Vietnam to have many training programs meeting AUN-QA standards (10 programs)

Earlier in 2022, LHU received the International Quality Standard Certificates of AUN-QA for its six training programs including Information Technology; Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology; Accounting; English Language; Business Administration and Pharmacy.

The AUN-QA Program Assessment includes 11 standards. Each standard is assessed on a 7-point scale. Standards include Expected Learning Outcomes, Programme Specification, Programme Structure and Content, Teaching and Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff Quality, Support Staff Quality, Student Quality, Facilities and Infrastructure, Quality Enhancement and Output.

According to the result report from the AUN-QA assessors, the Japanese Studies program is highly appreciated in standards including Teaching and Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff Quality, Supporting activities - creating jobs for students, Facilities serving teaching, learning and scientific research. The Automation and Control Engineering Technology program is highly appreciated in terms of Student Quality and Support Services and Facilities. For the Finance - Banking program, Support Staff Quality, Student Quality and Student Support Services receive high marks from assessors. Particularly in the Construction Engineering Technology program, Student Quality, Support Services and Enterprises' Support are highly valued by assessors.

The four training programs were assessed at the 320th AUN-QA assessment lasting three days from 7th to 9th March, 2023

Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of LHU said that the four training programs of Japanese Studies, Construction Engineering Technology, Finance - Banking, Automation and Control Engineering Technology accredited by AUN-QA is a proud result of the University in quality assurance. With a total of 10 programs satisfying the AUN-QA standards and two programs assessed in accordance with ABET standards, LHU has been continuously trying its best to build training programs that meet the international quality accreditation standards.

Currently, LHU is preparing all conditions for the coming educational quality assurance accreditation at institutional level under the Ministry of Education and Training’s framework.
