LHU students wins First and Second prizes at 2024 Dong Nai Province Tourism Presentation Contest

On November 28 evening, 2024, at the opening ceremony of Dong Nai Culture - Tourism - Culinary Week 2024, two students Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy and Vo Thi Thuy Van, from the Faculty of Administration and International Economics, LHU were honored and awarded the First and Second prizes, respectively for winning the 2024 Dong Nai Province Tourism Presentation Contest.

The Contest launched by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, themed "Dong Nai tourism takes off with aviation" attracted more than 60 contestants from universities and training facilities across the province. The Contest's goal is to promote Dong Nai tourism potential and strengths; encourage the exploration of historical and cultural relics, natural attractions, tourist areas, cultural festivals, folk arts, traditional craft villages, and cuisine in Dong Nai; while strengthening the promotion of Dong Nai tourism image through media channels, thereby contributing to attracting tourists to Dong Nai.

LHU's representatives at this Contest were Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy and Vo Thuy Van from class 22QD111 majoring in Tourism and Travel Services Management, Faculty of Administration and International Economics. The two students conquered the judges and audience with their inspiring and professional presentations. They not only showcased a strong understanding of Dong Nai's prominent landmarks but also impressed with their confident demeanor, creative presentation skills, and ability to deliver compelling messages.

Under the dedicated guidance of Mr. Pham Ngoc Hieu, a lecturer of the Department of Tourism and Travel Services Management, Thuy and Van spent three months researching, practicing and perfecting their presentations. As a result, Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy excellently won the First prize while the Second prize was awarded to Vo Thuy Van.

The proud achievements of Minh Thuy and Thuy Van are the result of their tireless efforts and proactive learning spirit. Their success is also a testament to the quality of education offered by the Department of Tourism and Travel Services Management at LHU, thereby contributing to promoting the University's reputation in training high-quality human resources for the tourism industry, at the same time highlighting the rich cultural, historical, and natural values of Dong Nai to the community.
