    Foreign Trade Students Gain Practical Experience at Cat Lai Port.

    On the morning of January 16, 2021, the Faculty of Management – International Economics at Lac Hong University organized a meaningful field trip for students majoring in Economics (Foreign Trade) to Cat Lai Port, Ho Chi Minh City.

    This practical activity is part of the faculty’s training orientation, aiming to provide students with valuable opportunities to observe real-world operations, connect classroom knowledge with practice, and enhance their professional understanding of the logistics and import–export industry.

    During the visit, students were introduced to the overall structure and operational processes of the port. They also had the chance to explore key areas such as CFS/bonded warehouses, customs offices, and related working departments. Through direct interaction with staff members and professionals, students gained deeper insight into port activities, modern logistics systems, and essential skills required for future careers.

    In addition, students actively participated in discussions and raised many questions regarding on-site operations, company management, human resource practices, recruitment requirements, and the competitive nature of the logistics market. This dynamic exchange helped students broaden their perspectives and better understand the demands of the industry.

    At the end of the trip, students took commemorative photos and joined a short knowledge quiz. Several students also received small gifts as encouragement for their participation.

    Overall, the field trip provided students with an exciting and practical learning experience, contributing to the development of their professional mindset, confidence, and readiness for future employment in the field of international trade and logistics.
