On the morning of April 4, 2025, a seminar titled “Effective Tax Management for Student Startups” took place at Room B203 – Campus 1, Lac Hong University. Organized by the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the event attracted a large number of students interested in entrepreneurship, especially those planning to establish and develop their own businesses in the future.
The seminar featured two guest speakers: Dr. Dao Tuyet Lan and Dr. Nguyen Quoc Nhat – both experienced and dedicated lecturers in the fields of finance, accounting, and tax management. With clear, engaging, and approachable presentations, the speakers provided students with valuable and practical knowledge regarding essential taxes that startups need to understand, such as value-added tax (VAT), corporate income tax, personal income tax, and license tax.
In addition to the main presentations, the program included real-life case studies and a Q&A session between the students and the speakers. These interactive activities helped attendees better connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, thereby enhancing their ability to apply what they learned in the process of building and managing their future businesses.
The seminar was not only an opportunity for students to access useful knowledge on tax management but also a meaningful stepping stone to help them prepare a solid foundation for their startup journey. Through this event, students gained a deeper understanding of the role of taxation in business operations and the importance of complying with tax laws right from the early stages of entrepreneurship.
The Faculty of Finance and Accounting hopes to continue organizing more practical and enriching academic events like this in the future, aiming to support students throughout their educational journey and professional development.
